Timothy hutton's hero named Charlie is to Paris, and his fiancee stays in Canada because she is afraid to travel by plane. Several days later he calls her by phone and tells that he loves her no more and had find another woman. Then it turns to be that the plane phobia is not so hard to overcome and Meg Ryan's Kate instantly jumps into one and heads to France. There (in the plain as yet) she meets a charming Frenchman who is a jewelry smuggler who stealthily places an expensive necklace into her handbag to pass it through the custom-house. When arrived, the bag disappears... and the things just get worse. But as the bag is stolen, Kate and Luc (Kevin Kline) should keep together...
