River Queen Movie

Set during the 1860s, a time of the land war between the European settlers and the Maori tribes, the movie depicts the intimate story of Sarah O'Brien (Samantha Morton), an Irish immigrant to New Zealand, whose little son Boy (Rawiri Pene) is kidnapped by his Maori grandfather. The distraught woman decides to travel deep into Maori territory to win back her missing son. When she falls in love with Boy's uncle, Wiremu (Cliff Curtis), she becomes caught between two sides in the middle of racial conflict.
